Luckett's Store, Leesburg, VA (and Breaux Vineyards) 10-24-21

An easy drive into Leesburg and out into Virginia wine country.

Funky stuff to look at on the grounds of this property.

The Wrap

Leesburg used to be easy to get to, but now with the White's Ferry closed (ugh...will this ever be open again?!) we recommend heading out towards Point of Rocks, Maryland and going into Leesburg that way. Unfortunately Route 15 has gotten so crowded on the weekends with traffic so keep that in mind. This place is fun to go to for an hour or so, and there are other various antique places in the area.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry

Breaux Vineyards has some amazing views. It is worth going there just to sit outside on a nice day. Their wines are good and we ordered a sampling to go with our picnic. Music was playing, dogs and children were there and overall, it had a good vibe.

About Us

Peter and Emily are both native Washingtonians, both having grown up in Bethesda, Maryland. Crazily enough, they met online during the 2020 pandemic and have been inseparable ever since. What started out as a "date" day trip within a couple of weeks of meeting each other, turned into something so much more. The two decided they were having so much fun, they did another day trip the next weekend. And soon they realized it was a great escape from the work week to go explore places within a couple of hours from D.C. It also was a great way to do something outdoors and maintain space during the Covid-19 craziness. What's not to love about being outdoors, getting fresh air and catching the trade winds in your sails... exploring... dreaming... discovering...
